Full Time Job
The Manager of Partnerships and Operations for National Geographic Creative will handle interactions (shipments, payments, reports, requests) from third-party partners. This position will report to and assist the VP of Operations with system maintenance and management, as well as special projects.
Responsibilities
• Day-to-day management of image licensing partners and print on demand partners, which includes but is not limited to tracking income and sales trends, working with partners on potential improvements, organizing and monitoring submissions of stills and video, and ensuring that internal records are accurately kept.
• Work directly with partners for NG branded site and National Geographic Partners (NGP) departments to coordinate print offerings and marketing strategies.
• Seek out potential new stock stills and footage partners, handle technical aspects for getting collections online with appropriate metadata.
• Assist in working with agency reps to resolve issues with existing collections on site.
• Monitor e-commerce site for user functionality.
• Research licensing infringements.
• Create content lists for customers.
• Provide support for departmental technology and reporting issues.
• Learn about National Geographic Creative systems - SPI, Picture Match, the e-commerce site NatGeoCreative.com – and how those systems interact with other NGP systems.
• Learn about NatGeo Creative financial reporting and provide assistance and back-up for the monthly closing reports and the periodic special reports required or requested throughout the year.
• Assist in the management of the National Geographic Fine Art Gallery partnership by consulting with Gallery partner on inventory, sales, marketing; locating and delivering image files; and communicating with represented photographers.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in photography and digital image files.
• Clear writing and communication skills necessary.
• Ability to connect overarching plans with specific capabilities of systems.
• Familiarity with ORACLE databases.
• Ability to learn internal systems-content management (IPMAM, Wazee Core, and smiliar), rights recording, publishing (MediaGrid, AEM).
• Must be proficient with Excel and Outlook.
• Interest in problem solving.
• Customer service orientation.
