Position Summary- The Executive Assistant for Nat Geo Wild provides daily administrative support to SVP, Development & Production and will oversee travel and expenses for Executive Producers. Administrative duties include managing schedules, travel arrangements, expense reports, organizing meetings and presentations, and managing communication with internal staff and outside contacts. Candidate must be self-motivated, have good judgment, and be able to represent the interests of the executives and the network accurately and efficiently. Reports to SVP, Development and Production for Nat Geo WILD.
-Administrative support to the SVP of Development and Production and travel and expenses for Executive Producers
-Manages schedules and priorities so that s/he can complete all tasks in a timely and effective manner.
-Communication with internal work groups and outside contacts
-Keeps the network connected with other departments and third parties so that information flows accurately and smoothly, enabling staff to make relevant and timely decisions.
-Travel and expense, general office needs, and budget management
-Provides staff with the resources and framework needed to achieve network goals.
Education / Experience:
-College Degree (TV & Film, Communications, Journalism, English) with 2-4 years executive assistant experience
-Must have sound judgment and ability to anticipate and solve problems unassisted
-Computer Skills: Ability to learn & operate within all network databases and applications with a high level of proficiency in Excel, Adobe, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
-Other Skills & Abilities Required: Candidate must have excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and computer/web based skill sets. Ability to juggle multiple assignments and manage rapidly shifting priorities. Person needs to be self-motivated with ability to anticipate & solve problems.
-Other Duties: Coordinates employee activities for WILD team (e.g. work schedules/strategic off-sites/team building initiatives); manages all requests for promotional material, dubs, and gifts from internal staff, talent and coordinates with programming department on festival and award submissions.
