Full Time Unpaid Internship
Want to work with NPR's fast paced fundraising team and connect with foundations and Member Stations around the country while learning about raising funds from some of the leading foundations in the country?
Join the fundraising effort of NPR's Institutional Giving Team.
The NPR Institutional Giving team is responsible for millions of dollars in support of NPR's news and cultural programming. This internship will be an integral partner in this effort by focusing on work that will help expand the range of both private and corporate foundations that engage with NPR. The position will be supervised by the Director of Institutional Giving.
Responsibilities:
• Research approximately 250 identified foundations with the goal to determine potential alignment for NPR funding.
• Work with the Prospect Manager and Grants Manager to draft proposals and reports for foundations.
• Support the cleanup of Institutional Giving's share-drive.
• Assist with donor events as assigned.
• Participate in team meetings and work closely with fundraisers and other Development staff colleagues.
Qualifications:
• Writing and editing
• Research skills and experience
• Database and Excel experience
• Experience managing multiple projects
• Active user of social media
• Communicating to various internal and external stakeholders
