Role Summary
Dynamic and highly visible opportunity to provide overall strategic human resources support for the NBCUniversal Corporate Staff Functions. The Vice President, Human Resources supports four Executive Committee members (i.e., direct reports to the CEO) including EVP & General Counsel, EVP Corporate Communications, EVP Strategy & Business Insights, and Chief Diversity Officer. In addition, the Vice President will support other senior level executives including EVP Human Resources. This position reports to SVP, Compensation, Benefits, HRIS and Corporate Human Resources and leads a team of HR business partners in both New York and Los Angeles.
Essential Responsibilities
• Provide strategic human resources leadership and operate as a business partner to four Executive Committee members, plus the EVP Human Resources, in support of business goals and objectives
• Partner and collaborate with various business leaders on growth strategies and cost challenges; provide HR guidance and input on decisions and execute in order to enable these strategies
• Lead and leverage HR processes and drive key HR initiatives across departments, including staffing, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness and employee communication
• Lead identification and movement of key functional talent across the enterprise by partnering with business HR leaders and recruiting lead.
• Provide executive coaching to functional leaders, offering feedback and advice on employee and organizational issues
• Partner with business HR leaders on enterprise-wide strategic HR initiatives
• Help to drive change within the organization; uncover, assess and propose opportunities for HR process improvements to include adoption of new technologies, workflows, staffing models, and organization structures
• Collaborate with business leaders and talent development to design and implement employee development programs
• Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive and motivating work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities; act as an employee advocate
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional HR experience or employment law experience

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
• Strong business acumen, facilitation, conflict resolution and communication skills
• Knowledge and practical application of HR disciplines including employment and labor laws, employee relations, management & leadership development, performance management, organizational design and compensation philosophies and knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety
• Strong business partnership: able to establish credibility and rapport with operating leaders
• Project and process management skills, demonstrated track record of delivering results
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong client-support orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with a wide range of clients, individually and in groups.
• Strong employee-relations skill set; can earn trust and credibility with employees in assigned groups
• Previous experience with a represented workforce is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to influence, coach and counsel both employees and management
• Basic knowledge of Labor Relations
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and lead change
• Takes ownership; able to establish self as the 'go-to' HR resource for client organizations
• Prior media/television industry experience preferred
• MBA or Master's degree preferred; HR certification desired
