Freelance Project Manager, Affiliate Marketing - G4 Network
This long-term freelance Project Manager, Affiliate Marketing position will provide sales and marketing support for G4 to the NBCU Distribution staff by way of providing marketing materials, network updates and planning and implementing Local Marketing and Sales Strategy projects (including Local Ad Sales).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as the marketing consultant and liaison for NBCU Distribution Marketing team to assist them with strengthening their relationships with their affiliate clients.
• Maintain strong knowledge of G4 Corporate Marketing and programming initiatives.
• Identify, analyze, and report industry trends and use those trends in developing overall affiliate marketing direction for G4.
• Handle the creation and evaluation of affiliate marketing and sales materials, including promo reels, sales reels, training and sales presentations.
• Provide the NBCU Distribution Marketing staff with programming info, images, logos and other items to support all-network materials including monthly newsletters, affiliate website, Custom Show sales presentation software and CSR guides on a regular basis.
• Manage the G4 portions of the NBCU affiliate website.
• Participate in the strategic development of Affiliate Marketing programs including affiliate incentives, evergreen promotions and local marketing campaigns and coordinate materials.
• Work collaboratively with the NBCU Distribution Marketing team to develop support materials and marketing plans that boost the value of G4 at the local level and to meet specific NBCU Sales and/or client needs.
• Manage Affiliate Trade advertising planning and execution when needed.
• Facilitate aspects of G4 participation in National trade shows, including coordination and requesting of graphic elements, video elements and promotional stunt planning as needed.
• Manage affiliate needs during local events and opportunities for show travel, client entertaining, talent appearances, etc.
• Develop strong relationships with internal departments to insure the success of special projects.
• Other duties assigned as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Minimum 3 years of affiliate marketing and sales support experience related to a cable network
• Ability to develop and implement strategic marketing plans
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, presentation and creative skills required
• Must understand sales strategy and strong knowledge of cable distribution space
• Must be able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and work as a team player
• Must have excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented
• Maintain excellent track-record for meeting deadlines and following-through on projects
• Computer proficiency a must and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point mandatory
• Medea database knowledge a plus
• Able to travel if necessary
