We are seeking an innovative, experienced and results-driven Manager to develop, execute and implement effective operational staffing strategies and plans in support of Universal Studios Hollywood's operational staffing needs and projected growth. Reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition Resources, this position will be responsible for the specialized Operational Staffing team, ensuring an effective and timely recruitment process for all positions including Technical (Back of House) and Customer Facing roles (Front of House). This position is also responsible for the strategic oversight and execution of recruitment marketing that attracts top-quality talent.
•Directly oversee specialized recruitment for Front of House operations, supervising and developing the operational recruiters.
•Research, create and execute employment branding awareness strategies for high volume seasonal hourly positions.
•Continuously improve and sustain the campus/community/diversity outreach programs to highlight USH's employment profile and build a pipeline of skilled applicants.
•Develop strategies and tactical initiatives for the Operational Staffing function
•Partner with the Director, Talent Acquisition and internal marketing teams in the development and implementation of employment marketing approaches for high volume recruiting, including utilization of emerging technologies (i.e. social media), recognizing opportunities to market the Company to a diverse population.
•Manage and advance organization's campus and community presence.
•Oversees execution of operational recruiting message in the media, online and in the community positioning USH as an exciting first employer of choice.
•Partner with Peers and Directors to continuously look for improvements of operational staffing function, workflow, onboarding, and interviewing experience.
•Serve as an advisor and strategic liaison to Front of House operators and HR, providing guidance and direction related to all Staffing programs in support of business goals and needs
•Provide regular reporting to Director on the status of programs, staffing activities, and performance.
•Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
•5-7 years of recruitment and previsous staff management preferred. Knowledge of high volume recruiting, interviewing and selection processes required.
•Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing recruitment strategies, marketing plans and programs.
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
•Experience in theme park, hospitality or retail industry is highly preferred
•Experience in both high volume hourly and professional staffing environments
•Excellent leadership/interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization and in managing staff
•Hands-on, self-starter
•Experience building consensus and integrating processes and procedures across multiple decision-makers in a hybrid corporate structure
•Excellent presentation, communication and organizational skills
•Able to deal with immediate priorities while anticipating and planning for strategic future needs
•Ability to influence and leverage the organization through knowledge, being savvy, having grace under pressure and confidence.
