Full Time Job
Oversee learning programs in support of Universal Orlando business needs and goals and for Technical Services client group and Safety and Compliance training. Serve as a performance consultant in researching and developing training initiatives or other interventions to support those needs and, develop measures for assessing knowledge. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create and implement strategic vision and direction for assigned Tech Services to continuously drive improvements in productivity, performance and service. Creates targeted and integrated training programs that link to individual development, technical competence, increased business performance, employee satisfaction and brand promise.
• Consistently monitor, adjust and strategically address the safety and compliance training needs for Universal Orlando. Work with business partners (both internally and externally) to ensure that compliance in all areas is achieved, reported and maintained.
• Identify business, leadership, and technician performance gaps, recommend appropriate interventions, build appropriate programs/processes/training systems and measure and lead in their execution.
• Analyzes trends, identifies gaps and uses Universal Orlando and Tech Services metrics and measures to oversee the development of targeted strategic training plans for Tech Services and Safety and Compliance. Create targeted training and performance metrics for Tech Services and Safety and Compliance programs and institute Level I, II and III evaluations.
• Provides leadership, support and development opportunities to the Senior Trainer and Trainers, ensuring that they have the tools necessary as well as the infrastructure to provide exceptional service to the organization.
• Partner with the HR Field and HR Development teams in the communication, coordination and support of the globalized TSAT, 360 degree feedback and individual development plan processes. Collaborate to develop and drive action plans focused on performance improvement. Support analysis of data to recommend learning needs of appropriate client group(s).
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS: Strategic Planning, Counseling, Training, Conduct presentations, Developing others, Provides direction, Microsoft Office, Health and Safety, Supervision, Current on industry trends, Flexibility, Resource Planning, Career Development, Interviewing Skills, Analytical Thinking, Customer Service Orientation, Organization Skills, Tact, diplomacy and consultative skills. Leadership and staff development skills. Ability to work with all levels of leaders from the organization. Ability to measure performance improvement.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Management, Organizational Development and/or Human Resources required.
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years experience working in a training / human resources environment required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Background in technical training is required.
