The Human Resources Manager will work with the Director of Human Resources to assist with employee communication initiatives within client groups to ensure coordination of HR strategies and processes. Providing relevant data and recommendations to guide decision-making related to compensation, organizational structures, retention, promotions and other actives are key aspects of this role.
Job Responsibilities:
• Ability to coach, mentor and advise where appropriate to help employees grow and develop in alignment with business and personal goals.
• Develop new programs to attract, retain and motivate employees.
• Spearhead morale activities and initiatives.
• Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
• Adhere to NBCUniversal's policies and procedures.
• Analyze trends and metrics in the development of solutions, programs and policies
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations
• Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
• Ensure regulatory compliance with all applicable Federal and State employment and wage and hour laws.
• Work closely with managers to prepare employee performance documents to include performance reviews, performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and compensation reviews.
• Manage and provide professional coaching to the Facilities and Human Resources team.
• Partner with all levels of management on HR initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
• BA/BS degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Strong interpersonal communications skills with the ability to encourage innovation.
• Willingness and demonstrated ability to work in teams, as both a lead and a supporting team member.
• Strong proven leadership experience with a highly collaborative style..
• Able to exercise discretion and keep strictest levels of confidentiality.
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at the company's sole discretion.
• Must be available and willing to work extended hours (during crunch times!) per day including occasional weekends and holidays.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with proven ability to organize and analyze data.
• Able to manage multiple projects that span the various disciplines of Human Resources.
• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws.
