The HR Coordinator for NBC in Washington is responsible for providing general human resources support for NBC4 and NBC News in Washington, D.C. Responsibilities include:
• Provide support on key HR initiatives including staffing, performance management, compensation and engagement
• Serve as a primary user for HR systems, including SAP, EuHReka, Business Warehouse, BrassRings, etc.
• Ensure accurate and timely input of employee data and effective reporting.
• Execute HRIS transactions in support of organizational changes
• Post job openings and track applicants in compliance with FCC and OFCCP requirements.
• Prepare annual FCC EEO report
• Assist in staffing process, working with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to identify recruitment strategies ensuring diverse candidate slates
• Assist with the on-boarding process for incoming employees, as well as coordinate with outside employment agencies
• Respond to employee inquiries and provide assistance as required
• Work with HR Connections to research and resolve payroll and benefits issues
• Act as primary point of contact on disability leaves of absence and workers' compensation claims
• Lead employee health & safety several areas and actively participate on the Safety Committee
• Represent NBC in the community at job fairs, journalism association events, etc.
• Assist in coordination and oversight of the intern and pipeline programs
• Conduct outreach to colleges and community organizations
• Organize and execute employee engagement events
• Conduct employee training as required
• Draft employee communications
• Coordinate and oversee projects as required
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or equivalent experience in an administrative role.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience as an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator or similar role.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in Washington D.C.
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
• Must be 18 years or greater
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be available to evenings and weekends
