Director, Program Planning & Compliance - CIMG
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee program scheduling, from strategy to execution, of all L.A. based E! and Style international channels and any other feeds/channels that may be launched in the future
• Collaborate on E! and Style scheduling strategies with NBCUniversal Programming • Directors and schedulers in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Asia and Australia
• Make rated channels competitive within their respective markets by coming up with sound program strategies according to each market priority, maximizing domestic and acquired content
• Make non-rated channels a must-have for affiliates by efficiently programming scheduling
• Serve as liaison with E! and Style Domestic, local international offices, and other internal departments (i.e. Marketing, On-Air) regarding all program planning matters
• Ensure content compliance with government regulations and other applicable restrictions in territories covered by the Int'l Networks (i.e. OFCOM)
• Manages Program Planning and Compliance teams
• Supervise the creation of VOD schedules and EPG listings for use by other internal departments, clients and external promotion organizations
• Identify third party programming for Network use
• Design and interpret program ratings reports for monitoring performance of network, cable and syndicated programming for relevant territories
• Coordinate and implement ad-hoc projects as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum five years experience in television program scheduling on a 24-hour cable network
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered
• Must be willing to take and submit to a background investigation
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:
• Excellent understanding of NIELSEN rating system
• Knowledge of BARB and any other internationally accepted rating system helpful
• Excellent understanding of international/cross-cultural sensitivities and issues
• Able to work under deadline pressure
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills
