JOB PURPOSE:

The Associate Producer will help guide any assigned on-air promos through the creative process - conceptualization, writing, shooting, offline editing, graphic production, music direction, online post production, audio sweetening and delivery to air.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

• Help guide any assigned on-air promos through the creative process - conceptualization, writing, shooting, offline editing, graphic production, music direction, online post production, audio sweetening and delivery to air
• Perform pre-production research, including graphics and music research
• Put together mood boards for graphic inspiration
• Collaborate with graphic designers
• Frequently participate in creative brainstorming sessions to generate highly creative, unexpected and breakout ideas
• Screen and log footage
• Perform additional duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 2 years experience in On-Air Promo, Interstitial and/or Graphics required, at a broadcast or cable network

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered
• Must be willing to take and submit to a background investigation
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

• Must have strong writing and conceptual skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and take creative direction
• Detail-oriented. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of our target audience (18-49 Males)
• Must be organized and have a strong research methodology
• Must have a great eye and be able to separate good footage from great footage
• Graphics experience a plus
• Have a great “can do” attitude
