The NBC Broadcast Network seeks individual to support the NBC Entertainment Research team to provide quantitative research primarily for the broadcast network's entertainment programming and media landscape. The position services internal clients (i.e., programming, scheduling, marketing, press & publicity and management).
Responsibilities
• Track and analyze digital and linear traffic for NBC entertainment content across all platforms (on/off domain and STB VOD), from a variety of external and internal data sources.
• Respond to ad-hoc requests from internal clients (e.g. marketing and finance) and management.
• Act as team expert on different issues relevant to our digital business such as mobile media use, connected TV devices, social networking, video-on-demand, new and emerging technologies, etc
• Utilize critical thinking and mathematical skills to analyze topical industry trends to provide robust and timely insights and recommendations in presentation format.
• Identify tagging issues and communicate with corporate digital team to ensure accurate measurement.
• Collaborate with team members including those with linear and primary responsibilities.
• Conduct digital analytics training as necessary.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistics, Communications, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience with web analytics. Experience with analyzing both online and TV data preferred.
• Expertise with Adobe Analytics, Comscore, Hulu. Experience with Rentrak, Listen First and Nielsen tools.
• Expertise with Microsoft Office tools (particularly Excel and PowerPoint). Experience with advanced data management tools including SQL, Tableau and Domo a plus.
• Ability to work within multiple external and internal data sources.
• In-depth knowledge of digital media industry including online, mobile, tablets, OTT and other emerging technologies
• Knowledge of TV/media landscape (including NBCU position)
