ASSISTANT EDITOR FOR SMC
Responsibilities:
• Overall support of post-production department
• Transcode, import and sort footage in preparation for edits
• String out and edit pieces as directed by the Sr. Post Producer or Post Coordinator
• Export final screeners if / when needed.
• Make dubs of material for producers and editors
• Must have experience in multi camera environment and be able to group clips in preparation of an edit.
• Research Music and SFX for editors
• Liaison with various departments in production
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with: AVID Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After, Various Digital File Formats & Frame Rates and 5.1 Surround Audio & Stereo Audio
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• If not a member of Local 700 IATSE, an application to join must be made.
Eligibility Requirements:
• 1+ years working as an Assistant Editor in Entertainment Industry.
• Interested candidates must submit a resume for this job online to be considered
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
• Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
• Must be willing to work weekends, nights as needed by show
