RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities:
• Operate as a business partner to Chief Distribution Officer, Universal Pictures - acting as strategic people adviser in all key areas of responsibility including evolving new media projects.
• Operate as a business partner to UPHE President, Senior Management Team and MDs across the globe. Acting as strategic people adviser in all SMT meetings and strategic planning sessions, developing and driving the people strategy across the territories by spending time in the business, understanding their structure, markets and challenges.
• Partner with NBCU HR community to work collaboratively across HR matrix and wider HR agenda.
• For international territories key partners are the regional HR leads and together the roles will drive the people agenda across the globe. Also partner with central HR team for NBCUniversal International on all international priorities.
• Manage annual organizational and talent review process (Talent Review), annual Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) and subsequent strategy planning for the HR agenda.
• Promptly and effectively deal with all employee relations issues; disciplines, grievances, etc.
• Partner with leaders to Identify development needs and build into development plan for the business.
• Work with Legal & Business Affairs to support Integrity issues throughout the business (including training & policy implementation).
• Responsible for attraction, retention, development and organization design across client groups as necessary. Key responsibilities include overseeing recruitment, headcount and budget management.
• Provide HR counsel and challenge to all UPHE leaders and HR managers in territory in order to support their development and to ensure the people agenda is prioritized.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
• Commercially aware individual with proven ability to identify and drive HR strategy within an international environment
• Proven capability to act as key member of leadership team and act as trusted adviser to business president providing sound advice and opinions across broad range of issues inside and outside of HR arena
• Proven ability to thrive in matrix'd environment
• Able to work cross-functionally and with other HR colleagues
• Provides timely and creative HR solutions to business issues
• Identifies key priorities within a heavy HR workload and executes on them
• Provides clear HR guidance and support to leaders and employees throughout the business
• Ambassador of the business with sufficient stature internally to represent the business.
• Understands and can interpret employment law within the US and international territories
• Sense of humour and 'can do' approach
Qualifications:
• Degree level business qualification.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional HR experience.
• Flexibility with required schedule and travel demands.
