Role Summary
This is a dynamic role providing overall leadership to the HR organization through the delivery of a strategic human resources agenda for the Universal Pictures group. The VP, Human Resources is responsible for creating and implementing the people agenda to support the business priorities. This position reports to the SVP, Human Resources for the Filmed Entertainment Group.
Responsibilities
• Partner and collaborate with business leaders to develop an HR agenda that supports the business growth plans and strategies for Universal Pictures. Work as part of the business leadership team to drive the overall success of the business
• Ensure the HR team is high functioning and able to deliver on strategic HR initiatives, rapid responsiveness and excellent client servicing
• Negotiate and manage employment contracts for executive population
• Provide expertise, operational execution and forward thinking for the full scope of HR functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, reward, employee engagement and organizational design and change
• Drive annual business cycles, including talent review, performance management, headcount planning, budget management and contract administration
• Leverage NBCUniversal values/culture and define what it means for Universal Pictures; adapt HR processes that deliver on it
• Ensure successful and efficient delivery of HR work streams. Uncover, assess and propose opportunities for HR process improvements to include adaptation of new technologies, workflows, staffing models and organizational structures
• Provide executive coaching to department leaders offering feedback and advice on organizational and employee issues
• Build and maintain effective partnerships with specialist HR teams and other corporate stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
• Minimum of 7 years of HR experience
• Flexibility with required schedule and travel demands

• 3 – 5 years leading an HR organization

• Knowledge and practical application of HR disciplines including employment and labor laws, employee relations, management & leadership development, performance management, organizational design and compensation philosophy
• Notable project management experience
• Strong working knowledge of NBCUniversal is preferred
• Ability to think globally while respecting cultural norms and accommodating local demands and requirements
• Strong client-support orientation and delivery of HR value proposition
• Knowledge of the media industry is beneficial
