This role is responsible for providing leadership in developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction for the Universal Parks and Resorts International Team, specifically in the areas of employee relations, succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, employee engagement and international relocation administration. They will work closely with business leaders to solve complex organizational challenges through people-related solutions. Working with the company's leaders and managers, this individual taps into a strong knowledge of business operations and people practices to promote the company's strategic priorities, culture, mission and values. This individual collaborates with others across functions to assess situations, analyze data, challenge conventional wisdom, and create new practices to ensure we hire, onboard, develop, motivate, retain and engage talented people. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Developing a comprehensive HR plan that aligns to and supports the business strategy, utilizing sources of data such as P&L, budget and other internal reporting systems. Lead development of organization diagnoses.
• This role will provide leadership, direction and expertise for the full scope of HR functions internationally, including employee relations, talent acquisition, development, reward, employee engagement and organizational design and change. Implement and oversee the organization's global HR functions and performance to ensure effective support in all related countries, as well as manage HR due diligence and transaction support for merger & acquisition or divestment activity, including integration and change management. The successful candidate will drive key International HR initiatives across departments, including: strategic HR/succession planning, staffing, performance and talent management, compensation planning, training and development, leadership development, labor relations, rewards and recognition, organizational effectiveness, employee communication and team enhancement work cultures.
• The VP will work with the Talent Acquisition staffing team providing support to hiring managers in staffing activities. The role will develop talent, including performance and behavioral assessment, future potential classification, succession planning and development training needs.
• This role will develop and integrate diversity and inclusion strategies into business plans to ensure an inclusive approach to employees, customers, consumers and partners.
• This leader will create and implement strategic vision for all international training and development programs to drive continuous improvement in productivity, compliance, performance and service. Develop targeted integrated programs that link individual development, employee satisfaction and productivity to the overall strategic business plan. Provide company-wide budgeting guidance to department leaders in establishing global and local training competencies. Evaluate the overall training needs and priorities of the business and implement solutions that will close knowledge or performance gaps and improve key skills and competencies.
• Manage the worldwide responsibility for movement of all international assignees, including all administrative tasks.
• The role will coach, develop and challenge the Universal Parks and Resorts International Leadership Team on the execution of growth plans and on people leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
SCOPE: Responsible for providing leadership in developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction for the Universal Parks and Resorts International Team, specifically in the areas of employee relations, succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, employee engagement and international relocation administration.
EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Human Resource Development, Human Resource Management or Business Administration required. Master's degree in Human Resource Development, Human Resource Management or Business Administration preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
• 10 years broad-based HR experience required
• 5-7 years' experience required at senior management level with international operations experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin preferred.
• Prefer candidates who have previously lived and worked in Asia. Your talent, skills and experience will be rewarded with a competitive compensation package.
