Role Summary
Exciting opportunity to provide overall human resources support for a fast paced production environment. The Sr. Human Resources Manager works independently and in conjunction with the HR Director and the HR team. The successful candidate will lead the HR Strategy for the client groups and drive key HR initiatives in areas such as staffing, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, employee relations, training and development, rewards & recognition, employee communication and other human resources projects.
Responsibilities
• Serve as a point of contact and interact as business partner with management and creative producers to implement effective human resources strategy and initiatives that supports business objectives
• Provide HR leadership and coaching to employees and managers ensuring fair and consistent enforcement of policies and positive employee relations issues. Seek guidance and inclusion from employment counsel
• Implement and manage key HR initiatives and processes, including: evaluations/performance management, organization planning, compensation planning , benefits, recognition programs, benefits and learning and career development
• Manage legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
• Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive employee relations and positive work environment encouraging the full use of diverse talents and abilities to maintain high level of engagement and retention of talent; act as an employee advocate
• Interpret and implement HR policies, practices and procedures for managers, teams and individual employees that further the mission, values, and strategic vision of the business
• Work with HR Director and other HR Leaders to develop new creative programs to attract, retain, motivate employees and spearhead morale activities and initiatives
• Responsible for all aspects of new hire on-boarding of regular staff, production employees and contingent workers. Manages job descriptions creation and revisions
• Supervise and coach HR coordinator to ensure proper hiring/transfers/terminations processes are followed utilizing in-house tools to complete the transactions
• Conduct new hire orientations, Interpret and effectively communicate HR policies; develop and implement HR practices and procedures aligned to meet the strategic needs of the organization
• Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in productivity and efficiency of services performed
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Related field of Study
• Minimum of five years of professional HR experience
• Experience in HR organizations with heavy emphasis on employee relations
• Minimum of one year of management experience Knowledge of US employment laws
Eligibility Requirements

• Must be willing to work in Miami, Florida area

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be ''on call'' 24 hours a day/7days a week
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
• Strong business acumen, facilitation, conflict resolution and communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong client-support orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. Strong influencing skills
• Familiarity with HR Systems (e.g. SAP, BrassRing/Kenexa desired
• Graduate degree in Human Resources, MBA or related field and/or PHR/SPHR certified preferred
• Well-versed in HR Best Practices and overall policy and process
• Strong business partnership and employee relations skill set: able to establish credibility and rapport with both operating leaders and employees
• Collaboration and Team Work -Place team priorities above own personal agenda; appropriately consider others' opinions on matters that affect the team; challenge proposed actions in a way that facilitates constructive discussion; support team decisions, even if different from own opinion
• Project and process management skills, demonstrated track record of delivering results
• Able to adeptly foster positive employee relations in a non-union work environment
• Takes ownership; able to establish self as the 'go-to' HR resource for client organizations
• Prior production/television industry experience preferred
• Able to exercise discretion and keep strictest levels of confidentiality
• Knowledge of and proficiency in Word, Power Point and Excel; SAP experience a plus
