Role Summary
NBCUniversal is seeking candidates who are interested in developing their career in Talent Development within the fast-paced media and entertainment business. This position will help to bring the Talent Lab – our signature suite of learning and development experiences – onto a digital platform, requiring a candidate who can take both digital and linear content and produce engaging and actionable development for the organization.
In order to be successful, this Specialist must be able to project manage complex multi-month, multi-touch point development programs and partner effectively with Talent Development & other internal colleagues to design, develop, and deliver these, both virtually and in person. This individual must be able to communicate and facilitate with credibility and poise across all levels of NBCUniversal – representing the NBCUniversal Talent Lab with both media and functional savvy.
This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative, creative and entrepreneurial Talent Development team in a high volume growth state. This role is based in New York City and reports to the Director of Talent Development responsible for skill-building experiences and operations.
Responsibilities
• Manage the engagement of Talent across a variety of digital media, with an emphasis on engagement, development and connection outside the classroom
• Manage the implementation of a new digital learning platform for all employees, with a focus on learner experience, content curation & social learning.
• Partner with HR colleagues across the organization to consult and design effective digital learning strategies.
• Contribute to marketing and communications efforts, so that HR partners and employees understand the portfolio of available offerings. Leverage technology and social media.
• Design, develop, and/or update training content for Talent Development experiences including PowerPoint presentations, participant materials and exercises/activities
• Provide in-person facilitation for select populations, including Talent throughout the organization who has significant impact and influence
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in leadership development, talent management processes, and designing, developing and delivering talent programs both in the classroom and digitally.

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
Desired Characteristics
• Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or an MBA is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Power Point
• Experience with and enthusiasm for digital media, social networking and collaboration tools to enhance learning
• Experience delivering results in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Experience within the media/entertainment/technology industry
• Strong project management skills, analytical abilities and general business acumen
• Demonstrated proficiency in program design and facilitation, both face-to-face and virtual experiences (webcasts, podcasts, etc.)
• Proactive and a self-starter attitude – willing to ''roll up sleeves'' and work on details
• Strong consulting and project management experience – ability to manage multiple work steams
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders
