Full Time Job
Develop, manage, and execute the internal communications strategy for social media, online media (UOTeam.com/SharePoint), and emerging platforms and channels, ensuring clear, concise, and compelling communication that complements and extends internal and external messaging. Drive the organizational culture throughout the company via social engagement, community building and interdepartmental partnership. Monitor trends in communications delivery tools and applications (i.e. platforms, content management systems, etc.), apply key learnings, and make recommendations for adoption, implementation, and enhancement. Measure the impact of social media and digital platforms on overall communication efforts.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Social Media Strategy and Content Development
• Develop, implement, schedule, and manage engaging and effective Team Member social media campaigns, programs and strategy in collaboration with key clients (Staffing, Team Member Services, etc) and in service of Company and business goals and objectives.
• Shape creative concepts and manage production of social media content, including writing copy and developing graphics, photos and video. Partner with internal resources such as the Internal Communications Specialist, Photo Services, Public Relations, and Brand Marketing teams for collateral development. Secure approval from key stakeholders, ensuring brand standards are maintained and licensor intellectual property is respected. Create templates and develop libraries of ''ready-to-share'' content.
• Work in concert with UO's Social Media team to monitor and connect with the Team Member community through real-time conversation.
• Partner with Legal and HR Field teams to shape policy, ensure compliance, and apply best practices that contribute to a positive work environment.Portal/Intranet/Digital Support
• Develop, create, plan, schedule, and update content for online internal channels (UOTeam.com, Intranet/SharePoint, online video projects) in coordination with the internal communications team and in alignment with company initiatives.
• Support NBCU internal communications and update UO-specific spaces on NBCU online properties as identified.Communications Support
• Produce media and update content for other existing internal communications channels (publications, digital signage, email/web, etc.) as needed in coordination with the internal communications team.
• Support Communications events such as Leadership Updates, HR Breakfast meetings, onboarding sessions, and others as identified.
• Represent Communications on cross-functional task forces and project teams as identified.
Platform and Channel Development and Implementation
• Develop strategy to leverage existing general audience social media platforms (such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, GlassDoor, etc.) and identify emerging channels and/or Team Member-specific communications technology (mobile apps, portal platforms, etc.)
• Ensure social and emerging platform strategy holistically aligns with existing online tools (email, Intranet, and UOTeam.com) as well as traditional media (analog and signage, print, field resources).
• Stay on cutting edge of industry best practices and trends to identify and make recommendations for communications technology not yet identified, working with HRIS and Parks Technology teams to facilitate implementation.
• Develop innovative tactics (i.e. gamification, user interface enhancements) that ensure a positive user experience and high levels of engagement and ROI.Analytics and Measurement
• Develop, create and monitor benchmark data and criteria that measure effectiveness of communications initiatives. Provide regular tracking reports on content performance to help understand what best engages our audiences and help guide future content strategy.
SCOPE: Budgetary responsibility for projects.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
• Proficiency with website and graphic design software required (Adobe Creative Suite including Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat). High proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) required. Proficiency with social media management tools and social media networks required. Web Design (HTML and CSS) with emphasis on responsive design/mobile optimization strongly preferred. Video production/editing experience (Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Apple Final Cut Pro X, Apple Motion) preferred. UX/UI Design Experience preferred.
• Knowledge of social media platforms, content management systems, web design required. Excellent interpersonal and team communication skills, analytical skills, problem solving ability, multi-tasking ability, and adherence to deadlines and project milestones required.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media, Interaction Design, UX/UI, Social Media or related field.
EXPERIENCE: 1-3 Years social media management experience required and 3-7 years communications experience required (Internal Communications experience strongly preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• ACCOUNTABILITY: Sub-set of departmental key performance indicators, specified by higher-level management (GSAT, TSAT, financial returns).
• PEOPLESOFT CODED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Conduct presentations, Budgeting, Management, Planning & Scheduling Employee Relations, Human Resources Experience, PC Software, Microsoft Office, IBM PC Hardware, Project Management
• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Layout and graphic design, fine arts preferred.
