Job Purpose:
The Media Management Coordinator is responsible for the daily management, receipt and delivery of digital content for NBCUniversal, StudioPost. As part of the Media Operations department, the Media Management team ensures content is delivered for domestic and international distribution as well as for NBCUniversal archives. This includes content created throughout the dailies, post production and mastering processes.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include:
- Process work orders including staging and delivery of digital content internally and externally
- Ensure all digital content is sent to and retrieved from digital vault per required deadlines
- Manage production storage environments so they do not exceed capacity
- Execute Master Package process for digital archiving
- Archive and transfer all digital dailies content to/from production and archive
- Spot check and verify content meets all technical specifications
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of computer file systems and operating systems (Windows/Mac/Linux, MS Excel/Word/Outlook, hard drives, SxS cards)
- Comprehensive understanding of digital video formats, file based workflows and metadata standards
- Experience with inbound and outbound methodologies such as Signiant, Aspera, Smartjog, and FTP
- Acquainted with encoding/transcoding systems/technologies
- Experience with various formats of digital media (.mov, .mpg, .mxf, .dpx) and storage systems (Isilon, SAN, LTO, AIT, SAIT, DTF)
- Highly motivated, self-starter with proven problem solving skills while working independently as well as within a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally while managing client expectations with a Customer Service Focus as part of a diverse team
- Detail oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including swing/grave and weekend shifts in a fast-paced, deadline intensive environment
Eligibility Requirements:

Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
Desired Characteristics:
- 2+ years of previous experience in production environment preferred
- College degree preferred
