Full Time Job
Oversees the Operational Staffing function and responsible for the day-to-day employment process for hourly and salaried front of house non-executive hiring for assigned client group.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops recruiting strategies based on both short and long-term business needs. Continuously monitors Operational Staffing progress against open requisitions to determine alternate recruitment avenues to support the business. Identifies trends, examines niche markets, and monitors and develops staffing metrics to help drive the staffing function and support business needs.
• Develops strategies and tactical initiatives for the Operational Staffing function. Manages and develops staff to ensure highest levels of service and support are provided.
• Manages, executes, and continuously looks for improvement of Universal Orlando's hourly and front of house salaried non-executive staffing function. Partners with Operating Managers, Professional Staffing, Records, Compensation, Investigations, Learning & Performance and HR Field Team to identify process improvement. Manages systems, processes, metrics and statistics of staffing functions and communicates these clearly to all stakeholders.
• Closely monitors the effectiveness and utilization of Universal Orlando's online application system. Ensures that the capabilities of the system are maximized and that all staffing team members are using it consistently and compliantly. Continuously looks for opportunities to increase the efficiencies associated with this medium.
• Works with Assistant Director to develop advertising strategies.
• Maintains open communication with other Universal Orlando departments regarding hourly and front of house salaried employment issues. Builds relationships with Operating Managers across the resort to support them in meeting their staffing requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or related field of study required.
EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years employment experience in a large organization with 1-3 years supervisory experience. Knowledge of high volume recruiting, interviewing, selection processes required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Preferred PHR / SPHR certification
