Manager, Human Resources (Split Shift 2Nd/3Rd)
Responsibilities Provides Team Member advocate support as well as partnering with management teams on a split second/third shift across the entire resort; provides guidance in employee relations issues including investigating complaints, ensuring correct policy administration and performance management.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides support for both hourly Team Members and the management teams by multiple, active interactions with them in their work areas, offices, break rooms, maintenance bays and shift meetings in order to promote Universal Orlando's Positive Work Environment philosophy and seek out potential employee relations issues.
• Investigates complaints of possible policy violation issues (not including attendance) that could result in disciplinary action and then partners with the division's Human Resources Employee Relations/Business Partner to discuss next steps to ensure fair and consistent enforcement of policies and practices.
• Acts as a liaison between all third shift Team Members and core Human Resources departments (Payroll, Records, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Development and Staffing) by assisting with programs and communicating information or by investigating questions or concerns.
• Supports management teams by encouraging and coaching employee engagement and Team Member Satisfaction (TSAT) action planning efforts while partnering with them to manage employee impact and reaction to upcoming changes.
• Provide a weekly summary of employee relations activities to include but not limited to:
• Team Member issues, investigations and results
• Policy violations, investigations and results
• Engagement activities
• Management coaching
Qualifications/Requirements EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Human Resource, Psychology or Management required.
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years Human Resources experience required; 1-3 years management experience preferred; hospitality experience is a plus; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
