Responsibilities Role Purpose
This position will provide strategic HR leadership to Telemundo Enterprises businesses and drive key HR initiatives for the team in areas such as staffing, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness, and employee communication. This position will report to the Vice President Human Resources.
Responsibilities
• Provide executive consultation to senior business level professionals. Engage in critical thinking exercises with a customer service oriented approach
• Lead organizational design, innovation and collaboration with client groups. Deliver organizational redesign in both traditional (linear) and leading edge (non-linear) groups in the backdrop of moving to new high tech facility
• Facilitate change management with client groups and HR team in a rapidly evolving media and entertainment environment
• Interact as business partner with client groups by driving the human resources strategy that supports business objectives
• Uncover, assess and propose opportunities for HR process improvements and lead the implementation of these improvements
• Drive key HR initiatives within client groups including staffing, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness, labor relations, and employee communication
• Work with department leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment consistent with our company values
• Offer guidance and counseling to employees concerning work-related issues and work to resolve issues in a proactive and positive manner
• Collaborate on a strategic and tactical level with operating leaders on a variety of Human Resource and business-related initiatives to support business goals
• Take the lead on resolving all employee relations issues; coach and guide managers and employees on issues affecting performance and business relationships
• Manage contract negotiations, extensions, performance issues and terminations in collaboration with the Legal Department
• Provide interpretation of HR policies, practices and procedures Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications
• BA/BS in Human Resources or related field
• Minimum of 6 years professional experience in generalist HR role
• Minimum 3 years in a Manager or leadership role, with an emphasis on employee relations and organizational development
• Must have a balance of critical thinking skills and customer service orientation

• Graduate degree in Human Resources, MBA or related field and/or PHR/SPHR certified preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong client-support orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with a wide range of clients, individually and in groups
• Spanish language proficiency (speak, read, and write)
• Creative problem solver with a passion for HR strategy
• Excellent leadership, problem solving, project management and presentation skill
• Strong business acumen, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and balance numerous priorities in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Well-versed in HR Best Practices and overall policy and process
• Ability to coach and counsel both employees and executive-level management
• Ability to establish credibility and rapport with operating leaders
• Must be detail-oriented and organized, with excellent follow-through and analytical skills
