RESPONSIBILITIES
Role Purpose
This position will require strategic HR leadership to the NBC Sports Digital and ability to drive key HR initiatives for the Sports Digital team in areas such as staffing, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness, and employee communication. This position will report to the Director Human Resources.
Responsibilities
• Interact as business partner with the Sports Digital team by driving the human resources strategy that supports business objectives
• Uncover, assess and propose opportunities for HR process improvements and lead the implementation of these improvements
• Drive key HR initiatives across designated departments, including staffing, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness, labor relations, and employee communication
• Work with department leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment consistent with our company values
• Offer guidance and counseling to employees concerning work-related issues and work to resolve issues in a proactive and positive manner
• Collaborate on a strategic and tactical level with operating leaders on a variety of Human Resource and business-related initiatives to support business goals
• Take the lead on resolving all employee relations issues; coach and guide managers and employees on issues affecting performance and business relationships
• Manage contract negotiations, extensions, performance issues and terminations in collaboration with the Legal Department
• Provide interpretation of HR policies, practices and procedures
• Develop diversity initiatives in partnership with the NBC Sports Group
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications
• BA/BS in Human Resources or related field
• Minimum of 6 years professional experience in generalist HR and/or HRM roles, with an emphasis on employee and/or labor relations

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
• Graduate degree in Human Resources, MBA or related field and/or PHR/SPHR certified preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong client-support orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with a wide range of clients, individually and in groups
• Creative problem solver with a passion for HR strategy
• Excellent leadership, problem solving, project management and presentation skill
• Strong business acumen, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
• Take ownership; able to establish self as the 'go-to' HR resource
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and balance numerous priorities in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Well-versed in HR Best Practices and overall policy and process
• Ability to coach and counsel both employees and executive-level management
• Ability to establish credibility and rapport with operating leaders
• Must be detail-oriented and organized, with excellent follow-through and analytical skills
• Interest in sports television production and operations a plus
