Full Time Job
Responsibilities Responsible for all facets of compensation analytics at Universal Orlando, including building and maintaining computer models, market and compensation trend analysis, costing, reporting, bonus and merit process planning and implementation. Position works with dual HRIS systems for both Universal Orlando and parent company.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops and/or maintains departmental tools (complex Excel spreadsheets, Access database, MarketPay database, etc.) used for compensation processes, analysis and recommendations.
• Prepares calculations for merit and bonus distribution. Prepares and distributes merit planning spreadsheets. Assists with costing of reorganizations and new classifications changes.
• Works with partner department in analyzing incentive programs and recommending new programs/changes. Audits payout amounts.
• Responsible for data extraction for participation in compensation surveys throughout the year. Analyze survey output, market trends, and industry pay practices to ensure Universal Orlando's competitiveness. Provides recommendations and cost calculations for salary structure and incentive plan changes.
• Provides direction on severance related issues. Develops, disparate impact, analyses and costing.
SCOPE: Follow established Universal Parks Technology methodologies and provide input to improve practices. Use established development and support tools to meet Service Level Agreements. Use established project management tools to report project labor for approved projects. Work directly with Parks Technology management and participate in regular meetings with the user community.
Qualifications/Requirements EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
• 5-7 years of experience working in an analytical role in a business environment required.
• 3-5 years' experience working with HRIS or financial system (PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.) requiring query development desired.
• Some experience working in a Human Resources environment is desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
• Understanding of application of compensation practices, policies and philosophy.
• Mathematical and statistical skills and a high level of analytical ability are needed.
• Ability to create charts and other visual ads to depict/explain analysis.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Microsoft Excel Expert Certification desired;
• Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification: Access 2013 desired;
• CCP desired.
