Responsibilities Role Purpose
The Human Resources Generalist, NBC Sports Regional Networks will provide client support to HQ employees and drive various programs and initiatives across all the Regional Sports Networks. The candidate will be responsible for providing broad HR transactional and operational support across the Regional Sports Networks and proactively partner with the HR team and leadership to implement effective initiatives and programs for networks . The selected candidate will lead key HR programs for talent management, diversity initiatives, internships, learning and development, performance management, organizational development and change management, training, employee relations, employee engagement, related analytics, and other special projects as assigned for the NBC Sports Regional Networks.
Responsibilities
• Provide a broad range of HR support to HQ staff employees in support of functional objectives, strategic goals, and human resource initiatives
• Support all talent management and organizational development initiatives to drive process across all network, including but not limited to, talent review, RSN specific learning & development and diversity
• Provide centralized HR analytics for consistency and efficiency
• Manage all day to day HR responsibilities for employee population, including but not limited to Staffing, Benefits, Performance Management, Compensation/Reward Management, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement & Communication, Onboarding, and Intern and Non-Staff Recruitment. Partner with extended NBCUniversal HR organization to deliver high quality results in all functional areas.
• Provide coaching to employees regarding employee relations issues
• Work to resolve employee and organizational issues in a proactive and positive manner
• Interpret and implement HR policies, practices and procedures for managers, teams and individual employees that further the mission, values and strategic vision of the functions
• Create an environment of positive employee relations, keep confidentiality, establish trust and credibility, approachable and fair, balance business needs with employee needs, and spend significant time interfacing directly with employees/client base
• Conduct employee training, as needed, on topics such as performance management, benefits, mentoring, staffing processes, etc.
• Work on special projects as assigned by VP, Human Resources, NBC Sports Regional Networks Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field of study
• Minimum of 2 years relevant HR experience (Experience with recruiting, employee development, organizational development, and or compensation preferred)

• Demonstrated ability to translate 'big picture' business strategy into an HR plan which can be executed
• Project and process management skills, demonstrated track record of delivering results
• Previous experience in cable, television or entertainment industry
• Proven team player
