RESPONSIBILITIES:
The HR Coordinator will incorporate a broad range of generalist support functions to the client base (Home Entertainment and Brand Development), as well as some administrative duties for the HR group supporting the client base. This position interfaces & problem solves with a number of business partners, including staffing, finance, labor relations, benefits, payroll, compensation, HRIS & corporate. There is heavy SAP technical processing & phone coverage.
HR Responsibilities:
Prepare job requisitions for open positions.
Process posting requests: New position workflow, Job Flow & coordinate L174 union job postings with labor relations.
Process new hire, personnel actions for promotions/data changes, timekeeper actions, LOA's & termination paperwork through the personal change record process.
Prepare severance estimates, complete separation agreements & coordinate all final payroll.
Communicate with Staffing, Accounting & Administration on the status of new hires.
Coordinate with terminating employees on final pay/benefits information & exit questionnaires.
Problem solve & resolve benefits, payroll issues.
Assist employees with any personal data information updates, including address changes, W-4 Deduction changes, Direct Deposit setup, Vacation accrual, etc.
Special Projects & other duties as assigned.
Admin Responsibilities:
Alternate shifts with coworker to open or close office.
Maintain Organization charts for groups assigned (Visio).
Maintain and set up files.
Faxing, filing, copying of paperwork.
Coordinate office coverage with the other HR coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications:
1-2 years of HR or related experience in meeting fast paced employee based or client needs.
Working knowledge of Microsoft office.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be willing to work at the Universal Studios location
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
Must be 18 years or older.
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
Bachelors in Human Resource Management or related field preferred.
Human Resource certification, training or professional human resource affiliations a plus.
Microsoft Office, Visio and SAP experience a plus

This person will be extremely flexible, highly organized, and able to easily shift priorities.
Exceptional follow-through and attention to detail is a must.
Candidates must be comfortable and willing to take on the administrative duties, heavy work flow processing as well as work with employees to problem-solve issues.
The successful candidate will be able to take on and execute multiple tasks, handle the fast paced pressure, recognize urgency and take initiative.
