SUMMARY: Supports a specific area of Human Resources by initiating, maintaining and processing information of Diversity Inclusion Programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Creates online digital and printed content. Designs layouts, writes stories, distributes materials, designs newsletters, creates branding campaigns for D&I and communication materials for internal diversity events from conception, creation to completion.
• Maintain, organize and distribute digital media content. Photograph events, catalog images, event calendar entries and upload to internal departmental SharePoint. Distribute or post content among internal communication channels. Organize and maintain team member resource group (TMRG) database, email distribution lists and inputs PeopleSoft data entry. Participate in meetings related to employee resource groups, offer administrative support; capturing notes and action plans. Participate in the planning and execution of various TMRG or D&I events on and off property.
• Provides all aspects of administrative support to the diversity team by maintaining databases of information specific to an area of diversity. Assists diversity team in setting appointments and maintaining communication with internal and external client groups and employees. Assist in the scheduling, setup, and breakdown of TMRG events, TMRG steering committee meetings or TMRG events when needed.
• Completes all inter-departmental requests related to executing TMRG events: banquet event order forms, audio visual requests, IT requests and inputs event summary data on SharePoint event management site.
• Processes all expense related entries on a monthly basis for the following: travel requisitions, procurement, travel & expense department charges and budget expense tracking/ reports.
• Generates and compiles reports and queries for the following: EEO workforce report, EEO intern report, diverse hires and promotions report. Generate reports on a monthly basis and distribute to internal partners.
• Will participate in work activities in accordance with our UO values of Teamwork, Respect, Open Communication, Recognition, Fun, Honesty, Trust & Integrity and a positive attitude.
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE: Provides all aspects of administrative support to the diversity team

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graphic Design, Communications or Web Design degree and proficiency in the following design programs: In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Publisher, Flash or other multimedia programs. Adobe Photoshop experience required. Familiarity with, and quick adaptability to, other graphic design software like In-Design is a plus.
Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
EDUCATION: High school degree or GED is required. Technical school is preferred. Associate's degree (AA) is required. Bachelor's degree inGraphic Design or Communications is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: One to three years Human Resources experience in a fast-paced environment preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and articles for publication which conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and the ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to conduct research, summarize findings and disseminate information to both internal and external stake holders.
