Myriad Pictures, a west Los Angeles based entertainment company involved in the financing, production and worldwide sales of major motion pictures and television programming is currently looking for an energetic, resourceful, take-charge individual to serve to serve as a staff accountant. Candidate must be detail oriented and have effective problem solving skills.
Job responsibilities:
• Accounts payable and accounts receivables
• Maintain accounting and administrative files
• Review general ledger entries and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare and/or review financial statements
• Communicate with vendors regarding discrepancies and inquires
• Coordinate with tax professionals to ensure client tax compliance
• Assist in preparation and review of distribution and participation statements
• Perform tasks involving accounting and financial analysis as requested by the CFO and other senior executives
Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year of general accounting experience
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar software and Excel
• Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field is preferred
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
• Good verbal and written communications skills
