Staff Accountant - Job Posting
MundoMax is an American Spanish language broadcast television network owned by Colombian private broadcaster RCN Televisión. The network carries a broad mix of serials (consisting of both telenovelas and teleseries), theatrically released and made-for-home-video films and variety programs, as well as limited news and sports programming. MundoMax is headquartered Los Angeles, California and has an immediate opening for full time Staff Accountant.
Responsibilities for this position will include:
• Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare select reports to support financial close process
• Assist with annual audit by preparing financial information and supporting schedules
• Manage of day-to-day accounting within SAP
• Interacting with internal departments for proper invoice approvals
• Processing and entering vendor invoices and credit memos
• Communicating with vendors/employees regarding payment status and outstanding invoices
• Providing vendor analysis as requested
Skills / Qualities desired:
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Independent, problem solving, and analytical mindset
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• High attention to detail
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Successful candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and have a positive attitude toward working with cross functional teams and end users
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting
• 1-2 years' experience in preparation of journal entries and reconciliations
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
• Experience with Concur Invoice preferred
• Spanish speaking a plus
Salary Range
• $45k-$60k commensurate with experience.
