The Social Media Editor's role is to engage consumers on social media platforms and promote the Newscast of the Network. The role requires a person who thinks imaginatively about social media and understands social media fully both from a professional and user level. Function also entails training and advising producers and journalists in the use of social media, as well as helping to execute all social media initiatives.
The social media editor will focus on managing and growing the newscast presence across social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Google+, Tumbler and other emerging social media platforms.
Core tasks will include developing the overall social media strategy following company editorial standards.
The candidate will work closely with the production teams, as well as the marketing department, and sales department.
• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Communications or an equivalent, plus a minimum of 5+ years experience as a Social Media Editor
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed, including the ability to write effective and compelling articles in Spanish.
