Segment Producer/ Editor

This is a Full Time Job

This position is responsible for conceptualizing, writing, producing and editing news segments for a national news telecast. Responsibilities also include research, selection of pertinent footage, choose of music, recording VO and applying graphic elements. Follows company best practices maintaining the network news overall quality and editorial principles.
Candidate remains informed of industry trends in video production and current news and information. Continuously develops knowledge and technical understanding of non-linear editing system and production.

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent related experience, plus a minimum of 5+ years experience with news segment production and editing on broadcast television

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed, including the ability to write effective and compelling stories in Spanish.
