News reporter roll is to gather and write news to keep the public informed about current events. Information may be obtained from a number of sources, including personal interviews, news briefings and wire services. Reporter may spend a large part of the day performing journalism activities like writing stories, investigating news and preparing interviews before going into the field to cover a story. Reporters have to very quickly convert the information they receive into news clips suitable for broadcasting or on-line posting. The candidate works closely with the assignment desk and the producers to receive daily tasks. Coverage may vary from sports, to fires, accidents, political affairs, court trials, police activities, etc. Reporters could be required to represent the company in public events. Follows company best practices maintaining the network news overall quality and editorial principles

Bachelor's degree on Journalism, Mass Communications or equivalent, plus a minimum of 5+ years experience with news reporting on broadcast television.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish are needed. Good knowledge of English Language is required.
