The candidate must have strong managerial, production and operational skills to oversee a complex News broadcast environment. Duties include the supervision and direction of the day to day News operation, including fiscal responsibility for expenditures and budgets. The applicant should excel in effective production, leadership, must be a great communicator and maintain high company standards of work ethic. Quick thinker with demonstrated ability to maintain cool head and control in all situations. Track record of delivering projects and the ability to anticipate the production and technical staff needs and changes. Outstanding logistical planning, known for running smooth & cost effective operations. Able to identify and develop talent, team building and team motivation. The position also requires a solid business sense, a good understanding of the broadcast television landscape and a deep knowledge of the US Latin Market. The candidate must be able to oversee and manage writers, producers, editors, reporters, journalists, anchors and engineers. In charge of recommending equipment purchase and hardware configuration and installation. The Operations Director is expected to perform at a high level without close supervision.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business, Finance or a related field. A minimum of 15 plus years experience in production and operations is needed. Direct experience in the broadcast TV industry is a must.
Strong written and verbal skills are required. Fluency in English and Spanish is necessary
