The Business Development Manager, the Americas will be accountable for generating revenue from the sale and execution of digital marketing and research campaigns to film studios, distributors and approved users of Movio Media. They will also work with Movio's leadership on new business development opportunities in the Americas market.
The role requires an individual experienced in the movie industry sector (ideally the theatrical release window), with a strong understanding of the digital marketing, marketing, digital advertising, new media and research operations of movie studios and distributors.
We're looking for someone who loves what they do and is a highly motivated team player that 'rolls up their own sleeves' to do what is required. You'll be sales driven and have a track record of prospecting, identifying client needs and closing deals. You'll be well networked and committed to delivering a first-rate client service.
Responsibilities will include:
New Business Development
- Locate potential business deals by contacting potential clients; discovering and exploring opportunities, leveraging and building your
network
- Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements and financials; evaluating options; and resolving
internal priorities
- Develop negotiating strategies by studying integration of Movio Media with target strategies and operations; examining benefits and
risks; estimating targets' needs and goals
- Arrange meetings between client decision makers and Movio's leaders
- Secure new deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and working with Movio's leaders to finalize
agreements
Ongoing Client Management
- Define a business development sales plan for current and new clients
- Communicate enhancements to the Movio Media platform to clients, and share client feedback with the Movio Media Product Owner and
other internal stakeholders
- Conduct platform training for new client staff and around major platform enhancements
- Share Movio thought leadership insights with clients
- Handle issues and objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreement and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use
appropriate styles to persuade or negotiate and escalate if required
Develop & Execute Marketing and Research Campaigns
- Proactively present new marketing campaign and survey concepts / opportunities to clients
- Develop campaign and survey pricing proposals and present to client
- Conduct post campaign analysis and reporting
- Arrange and participate in internal and external client campaign debriefs
Manage, Plan and Research
- Ensure that activity and other relevant data is accurately entered and managed within Movio's sales management systems
- Forecast client specific sales targets and ensure they are met
- Manage billing and debtors in relation to clients
- Research market trends and integrate into planning and solutions
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a business-related field
- Must have 3-5 years of marketing / digital marketing or loyalty brand marketing within a US based studio, distributor or on a studio /
distributor account within an agency
- Experience with data, analytics, loyalty and digital advertising is strongly preferred
