Job Description
The cage supervisor is responsible for the scheduling, distribution, collection, and maintenance of all audio, digital cinema, and television production equipment in the inventory of the Department of Broadcast and Media Operations. The position requires a team player, well-grounded in camera, lighting, and sound technologies, who is comfortable with significant day-to-day contact with students and faculty. Responsibilities include the security of studios and control rooms. Availability for evening and weekend work is necessary.
• Schedule the use of facilities and equipment.
• Supervise and assist in the check in/check out of equipment for classes and student productions.
• Maintain the equipment room and ensure that equipment is organized according to industry production rental standards.
• Maintain and update equipment inventory and perform general preventive maintenance.
• Instruct students and staff on the features and proper use of equipment.
• Provide equipment-related support in curricular and faculty needs.
• Ensure that production facilities are properly supervised and secured.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director and Associate Director.

Qualifications & Requirements
