Position Title: Senior Participations Analyst - Santa Monica, CA
Location: Santa Monica, CA
Reporting To: Executive Director of Participations and Residuals
Summary
The Participations and Residuals group is responsible for preparing and delivering royalty reports to all its third party participants for its rapidly growing library of 800+ titles. This position will ensure that all statements are prepared accurately and on a timely basis. The Senior Participations Analyst will help manage a small group of analysts and will assist the Executive Director in implementing new processes to manage workflow.
Responsibilities
• Review participation statements in accordance to contractual agreements
• Prepare complex statements that have high cash flow impact
• Forecast payments for cash flow planning and budgeting purposes
• Assist with providing residual receipts to third party vendor
• Handle new production setups and interpret complicated deal terms
• Organize and delegate tasks to ensure all deadlines are met
• Help improve and streamline processes for efficient reporting
• Research and respond to audit and participant queries in a professional manner
• Ad hoc projects as required
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• 3-5 years' experience in participations, entertainment accounting experience a plus
• Managing experience preferred
• Possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic to motivate group
• Strong analytical skills to identify issues and problem-solve effectively
• Ability to write clear and concise reports and communicate in a concise and prompt manner
• Effectively operate and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while meeting numerous deadlines successfully
• Individual must be able to work well independently and take ownership of projects
• Extremely organized and skillful in prioritizing work
• Excellent communication skills with people at all levels, orally and written required
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Access
