Summary
The Revenue Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting Accounts Receivable operations related to film licensing and royalty agreements for the Miramax titles. The Revenue Analyst will review customer agreements and accounts to understand invoicing and collections requirements. The Analyst will ensure that invoices are issued and payments are collected in a timely manner; perform any related collections, coordination, follow-up, and reporting activities. This position will also coordinate with the Contracts Administration group and outside sales agents, by assisting in tracking invoicing and collections. The ideal candidate will assist in managing relationships positively with customer Accounts Payable teams to assist with timely collections.
Responsibilities
• Generate and issue SAP-sourced invoices based on contractual invoicing and collections requirements
• Identify and record cash collections related to outstanding AR
• Review and analyze contracts in Filmtrack
• Create and maintain customer master data files in SAP
• Work with Revenue Manager on regular AR Aging and Cash Receipts Reporting
• Ad hoc reporting to Sales, Servicing, and Contracts teams on customer account status
• Interact with customer AP teams on a regular basis to follow up on outstanding payments
• Coordinate with outside sales agents for tracking and reporting of invoices and collections
• Organize and reconcile any discrepancies found within the revenue businesses
• Prepare monthly report to Senior Manager on the process of collections efforts
• Review distributor statements for accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of reporting
• Special assignments and analysis as required
Requirements
• 3 years of Accounts Receivables experiences, preferably in the entertainment industry
• Bachelor Degree required, in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Good understanding of revenue accounting, royalties reporting and SAP
• Intermediate to advance skills with Excel is required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
• Proactive, independent approach to work, high attention to detail, strong initiative and enthusiasm
• Must be a team player that thrives in a fast paced environment
• SAP knowledge and experience is preferred
• Familiarity with film revenue recognition requirements per FASB ASC 926 preferred
