Miramax is looking for an International Accounts Executive to assist the US team and UK sales team with the “Order to Cash” cycle and various accounting related matters. This role is intended to give the position exposure to how a global entertainment business operates. The successful candidate will thrive in this small, hardworking and vibrant team that will work with our US and International teams. This position contributes to the company’s success by ensuring a collaborative working structure to support its global operations.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for A/R & Collection function for EMEA and APAC
• Manage and track Certificate of Residence submissions to HRMC
• Debtor management and credit control
• Validate and maintain financial/accounting terms in FilmTrack
• Liaise between UK Sales Team, Contract Admin and Finance to complete “Order to Cash” cycle
• Prepare & Review bad debt reserves
• Work with the US team for tax withholding certificates for our US entities
• Submit month end close package to US in accordance to US GAAP
• Support implementation of financial systems
• Assist with quarter VAT filings
• Work with US accounting team on UK statutory audits
• Maintain and manage key customer relationships
• Ad Hoc Reports
Requirements
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
• ACCA/CIMA/AAT or equivalent preferred (licensed or candidate)
• 2 years Collection & A/R experience within media/entertainment industry required
• Working knowledge of foreign tax withholding requirements and Certificate of Residence submissions
• Understanding of media licensing/distribution business
• Large ERP Experience required (SAP preferred)
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Able to work after hours to work with the US accounting team
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• Strong customer service business acumen
