Creative Director & Editor in Chief of Mini Maven Magazine & children's fashion photographer seeks a self-motivated individual with experience in the creative fashion industry with extremely high multi-tasking abilities to join the team as a Jr. Assistant. This is a part-time position with room to grow. Desired candidate must come with an energetic personality, be incredibly organized and detailed, have professional demeanor and love kids. This position requires a specific skill set & schedule flexibility in order to accommodate the needs of the business, both professional and personal in some cases.
-Upon receiving application a brief phone interview takes place followed by Trial Tasks with a deadline.
-If approved and acceptable a In Person Interview will be scheduled to meet the editor.
-1 in house Interview Day 10-6pm (mandatory, August 30th//31st)
-5 Training days $12 an hour 9:30-6pm (September 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 14th)
-Official start date September 18th (Example Weekly Schedule: Monday 9:30am-6:00pm, Tuesday 10-6, Thursday 10-6, Friday 9-1) $15-$17 an hour.
-3 Month performance review with hourly increase discussion
-A 1 year commitment is required
The ideal candidate must display the following qualities:
Assist/Manage/Oversee all photography and magazine campaign productions
Coordinate all details for call sheets, pre/post and on set details and requirements
Create moodboards for all production/magazine concepts
Computer/Mac Savvy & fluent
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Programs; Light-Room, Photoshop and InDesign is a MUST
Skilled in color correction, photo retouching, layout/graphic design***
Ability to size images according to requested specifications from clients
Update websites regularly: LiveBooks Editsuite & Wordpress
Able to send email blasts with updated new work & announcements: MailChimp & Campaign Monitor
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A heavy desire to work and learn in the creative industry
Intelligent & quick learner, team player, positive attitude and must be a self starter
Desire to work with and be around children
Great energy and VERY Organized, Detail Oriented
Strong knowledge of different color space and file extensions
Strong knowledge of ALL social platforms: Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, FB, Snapchat
Must be resourceful and able to complete tasks with a sense of urgency
Must have a reliable Car/Way of getting to work
Must have laptop with current software & adobe programs
Strong interest in fashion, photography, creative direction, brand development
Responsibilities & Opportunities include:
Creation of layouts with Kymberly's guidance.
Photo Editing
Curation of Blog posts, Editorial Calendar & Closely managing the business, personal & social Calendars.
Contributing to design elements of online & print publication twice a year.
Perform both business and personal errands as needed
Administrative tasks such as answering phones, preparing paperwork, filing and documentation For Mini Maven and Kymberly Marciano Photography.
Coordination of production vendors for all photo shoot requirements (cast, crew, catering...)
Daily correspondence & invoicing with business manager, accountant and all clientele
Coordination with social media manager in planning/schedule posts business social platforms
