Non-Union Touring Crew - Positions Available
Mills Entertainment is seeking dynamic professionals to participate in the execution of our live tours in 2015.
Key dates (subject to change)
Pre-Production: September 14 - 20, 2015
Rehearsals: September 21 - 30, 2015
Technical rehearsals: October 1 - 9, 2015
Fall Tour Leg: October - November 2015
Winter/Spring Tour Leg: February - April 2015
Mills Entertainment is the industry leader in branded and alternative live entertainment. We collaborate with top artists and content partners to produce and promote engagements at theaters, casinos, and colleges throughout the United States and internationally.
The work we do is exciting, challenging, and enjoyable. We are growing and are seeking exceptional applicants with a passion for the live entertainment industry and a desire to join a winning team. These positions operate in a high-performance environment and require confident, competent, and assertive individuals.
Applications are currently being accepted for technical professionals for current and upcoming tours in the following non-union positions:
Technical Director / Deck Chief
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Touring experience
• Experience advancing a show
• Experience leading a crew during load in, performance and load out
• Experience with IATSE and Union Regulations
• Experience advancing and scheduling a load-in
• Ability to load-in, trouble-shoot and execute scenic and puppet elements
• Experience working with large scale puppets
• Willing and able to make set repairs on the road as needed
Audio Engineer / Assistant Technical Director
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Touring experience
• Accomplish successful load-in/ load-out, trouble-shoot and execute audio and scenic elements
• Experience leading a crew
• Experience with IATSE and Union regulations
• Experience running audio playback, using Q lab software and setting up wireless microphone systems
• Ability to troubleshoot audio issues, including wireless microphones
All applicants should be NYC local or able to provide NYC Housing. Housing and per diem are provided for during tour tech and performance dates (no housing/per diem provided during NYC rehearsals). Compensation will range from $600.00 - $700.00/week relative to the position. Job responsibilities include driving company vehicles, including 26' truck. Previous touring experience required, along with a valid passport, driver's license and 3-5 years industry experience.
