Tour Manager
FULL-TIME TOURING POSITION FOR MAJOR CELEBRITY TOURS
Mills Entertainment is the industry leader in branded and alternative live entertainment. We collaborate with top artists and content partners to produce and promote engagements at theaters, casinos, and colleges throughout the United States and internationally.
We are seeking a dynamic individual to support our live concert and theatrical productions in the role of Tour Manager.
This position may be based at the Mills Entertainment offices in Los Angeles, CA or Saratoga Springs, NY. Extensive travel with our touring productions is required (up to 30 weeks per year total, ranging from ''one-off'' engagements to multi-week tours)
Primary responsibilities of the position include:
• Serve as Tour Manager with on-site execution of live events
• Coordinate travel: Air, Hotel/Ground, Itinerary creation
• Act as a central point of contact for tour logistics planning and company advance
• Coordinate tour needs in concert with Production team and partners
• Manage local stage crews under a variety of conditions
• Execute basic stage management and production assistant functions
• Support celebrity talent while on tour
• Manage budgets, expenses, and related reporting
• Advance and cover engagements
• Coordinate guest list, acting as liaison with VIP guests
Candidates must possess the following attributes:
• A bachelors and/or advanced degree in technical theater
• Two or more years related theater experience (touring experience strongly preferred)
• Astute attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to further long-term relationships with our artists and strategic partners
• Able to manage multiple projects at once, and operate in line with proven systems
• Excellent organizational skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and the ability to remain effective under pressure
• Proficient in stage management and/or elements technical theater
• Experience working in a dynamic, high-energy environment with a demanding workload
• Tour Management duties on theatricals and celebrity tours
• Willing to travel regularly (throughout the US and internationally on occasion)
