Onsite Production Manager
Mills Entertainment is seeking an onsite Production Manager for a series of upcoming live events in January 2017.
Key dates (subject to change)
Various weekends in January 2017 - Please advise of any conflicts in your application.
Mills Entertainment is the industry leader in branded and alternative live entertainment. We collaborate with top artists and content partners to produce and promote engagements at theaters, casinos, and colleges throughout the United States and internationally.
The work we do is exciting, challenging, and enjoyable. We are growing and are seeking exceptional applicants with a passion for the live entertainment industry and a desire to join a winning team. These positions operate in a high-performance environment and require confident, competent, and assertive individuals.
Key required experience may include, but is not limited to:
• Industry experience (5-10 years preferred)
• Live Event experience (3-5 years preferred) with a strong understanding of all technical elements, including sound, video, SFX and lighting
• Experience working with, and supervising, a local crew under IATSE union regulations
• Ability to work in high-pressure situations
• Strong communications skills, ability to maintain a strong line of communication between the various departments
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues and making repairs on the road
• Valid driver's license
Key job functions may include, but are not limited to:
• Participate in production meetings and phone conferences prior to the tour dates
• Participate in technical advances as necessary
• Implement the Production Manager's agenda based on production advance, including the setup of technical equipment and the management of local crew
• Ensure creative continuity is upheld on site
• Manage local and tour vendors during load in, rehearsals, show, & load out.
• Supervise and direct local crew, per Production Manager's advance, for all load-ins, shows, and load-outs
• Insure all backline and production elements are in working order per advance
• Manage rehearsals and changeovers
• Ensure that all equipment and traveling show supplies are ready for movement post show
• Assist Tour Manager and other staff as necessary
• Ensure that the team adheres to all safety procedures
Housing and per diem are provided for performance dates.
