Utilizing your arsenal of skills and talents, we will rely on you to report and analyze retail consumption of theatrical and home entertainment, identify trends in physical versus electronic media consumption, along with report shifts in retailer market shares, identify under-served categories at retail and maintain excellent in-stock service to our customers. You will perform inventory and sales analysis and report trends and exceptions to Senior Management. Additionally, you will develop algorithms and models to project sales and key operating measures.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze and report retail sales, pricing and inventory activity on daily, weekly & monthly basis:
o Recap POS by retailer and format; forecast physical replenishment and potential returns.
• Prepare analyses of retail sales and pricing trends, promotion performance, merchandising successes/failures with key learnings and recommendations for sales management.
• Support forecasting and ordering for Vendor Managed Inventory accounts.
• Report daily, weekly and monthly orders, shipments and transaction driven revenues (SBT, Rev Share and VOD) for Senior Management.
• Track placement of titles at key accounts and maintain database of placements.
• Develop algorithms and models to forecast sales, shipments, returns, manufacturing and inventory.
• Ad-hoc reporting and analysis on account activity as requested.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years related experience and/or training that demonstrate strong analytic and communication skills.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and customers. Ability to articulate need to business users and computer programmers.
• Advanced Excel capabilities, including macros and pivot tables. Working knowledge of standard office suite of software.
• Familiarity with SQL or other database software, VBA and data connections is required
• Must be a fast and eager learner, able to respond quickly to new information.
• Ability to synthesize complex and diverse information into cogent, actionable analysis.
• Solid research skills with adaptive, forward thinking problem solving skills. Understanding of probability and statistical inference is helpful.
• Can design efficient workflows and procedures, and can prioritize requests based on business needs.
• Uses data to support decisions; uses intuition and experience to complement data.
• Maintains a positive, service-oriented attitude while meeting challenging deadlines.
