Formed in 2010 and led by CEO Bill Lee, Millennium Entertainment is a leading independent supplier that acquires and distributes feature films.
We are currently seeking a chief and mentor to lead the overall technology and systems direction for the company. Our ideal candidate will possess a balance of business acumen, be technically competent, collaborative and a hands-on self-starter with strong communication, leadership and organizational development skills.
The leader we select must have a passion to build best-in-the-industry service solutions. You will be responsible for managing all IT related services including infrastructure, business systems software development and 3rd party services. This position owns the technology strategy and drives wide-ranging initiatives including B2B and B2C Marketplace, Customer/Client Portal expansion, analytic tools and reporting across physical and digital distribution platforms, ERP/financial systems, physical operations and distribution planning and financial modelling and analysis leveraging internal and external resources while integrating 3rd party services and data.
Responsibilities:
• Lead all IT business process development efforts across the organization including internal and external facing solutions
• Drive business and consumer oriented solutions via technology
• Create strategy and execute deployment of leading edge B2B and B2C commerce and entertainment platforms integrating internal and external data sources
• Develop strategies for deploying effective and shared reporting tools for the finance, marketing, sales and operations functions
• Create the necessary reporting database and tools leveraging Excel, Access, SQL server (HALO BI), SharePoint, iSeries, and other technologies as appropriate
• Develop data analysis and cleansing tools as required
• Oversee infrastructure management, planning, and optimization for all IT supported functions
• Short and long term capacity planning including disaster recovery
• Manage and guide internal technology staff (4), consultants, and 3rd party providers
• Develop and implement IT policies and procedures for the business
• Synthesize reporting and analysis requirements across multiple business functions to develop and deliver a cohesive corporate strategy
The qualified candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
• Bachelor degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related technology concentration or commensurate experience in information technology positions
• 3+ years progressive responsibilities for deploying and managing leading edge technology solutions and a wide range of projects across multiple technology platforms
• 2+ years in Home Entertainment or Related Business Verticals including physical and digital distribution channels leveraging B2B and B2C commerce portals
• 3+ years working with external customers and 3rd party data providers
• Experience with digital asset management tools, managing and integrating metadata a plus
• Knowledge of business intelligence tools and concepts (e.g. Cognos, EssBase, Microstrategy).
• 3+ years in data and knowledge management including: integration tools, data cleansing techniques, process design, reporting platforms and technologies
• 3+ years of experience in web and front end development tools
• Managing a 24x7 Windows or Linux production environment
• Integrating 3rd party and cloud-based service providers with in house infrastructure
• Managing IT budgets for infrastructure, software, and 3rd party services
• Mobile and tablet devices knowledge a plus
• IBM iSeries experience a plus
• Self-starter with excellent multi-tasking abilities and ability to work independently
• Understanding of the current state of consumer consumption of entertainment and film industry distribution channels with a passion to embrace the evolving technologies
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personalities to reach resolution and maintain strong relationships
• Demonstrated knowledge of the SQL Server Database Technology including data structure creation and complex SQL / C# coding to develop analytics and reporting
• Demonstrated knowledge of web presentation / front end tools (.Net, C/C#, PHP, etc.)
• Hands on expertise with ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading) tools - including Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Hands on expertise with managing toolsets and data across multiple platforms (e.g. SQL Server, MYSQL, iSeries, etc.)
• Hands on capability to use Excel and Access to pull and analyze data from various DB platforms
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Visio
• Microsoft SharePoint knowledge a plus
