Millennial Ethics Productions is looking for an editor to add to its NYC team.
About Team MEP:
We're a bicoastal (NYC/LA) indie film collective and production team made up of diverse artists that uses film as a creative medium to raise awareness, reshape, and challenge our thinking towards the status quo.
Position Details
We're looking for fresh talent that shares our vision to continue shooting an exciting situational comedy and scripted webseries this May. We are in need of an editor to help us finish Episodes 1-3 in time for our series debut on Vimeo and Indiegogo launch on May 8th. We also plan to produce and shoot the remaining 5 episodes from Season 1 of an 8-episode series with Episode 4 shooting set for the weekend of May 21st. We will be targeting top web festivals around the world. This is a great opportunity for the right person to be a part of a growing team with credit, copy, on-set experience and press exposure guaranteed and potential for even bigger opportunities down the line. We are most interested in fresh talent with a willingness to learn and work collaboratively. We are looking to establish a long and professional working relationship. Think of us as an Olympic team.
Requirements:
• Own a laptop with film editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro Creative Cloud, FinalCutPro, Avid, etc.)
• NYC local hire
• Have general availability on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings for team meetings
• Have a reel or sample of previous work
• Share Team MEP's vision
• Have a passion for your art and artistic vision
• Have a willingness to learn, work collaboratively, and take direction well.
• Proficient in film editing software
• Have solid attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Able to adapt and see things differently to discover the visual heart of the script and series using a variety of source material.
