Millennial Ethics Productions is looking for a director of photography to add to its NYC team.
About Team MEP:
We're a bicoastal (NYC/LA) indie film collective and production team made up of diverse artists that uses film as a creative medium to raise awareness, reshape, and challenge our thinking towards the status quo.
Position Details
We're looking for fresh talent that shares our vision to continue shooting an exciting situational comedy and scripted webseries this May. We plan to produce and shoot the remaining 5 episodes from Season 1 of an 8-episode series we have ready to go, with Episode 4 shooting set for the weekend of May 21st. We will be targeting top web festivals around the world. This is a great opportunity for the right person to be a part of a growing team with credit, copy, on-set experience and press exposure guaranteed and potential for even bigger opportunities down the line. We are most interested in fresh talent with a willingness to learn and work collaboratively. We are looking to establish a long and professional working relationship. Think of us as an Olympic team.
Requirements:
• Own a DSLR camera or have access to one
• Have sticks, a stabilizer, a video tripod with a fluid head, and a shotgun mic (basic filming/sound equipment)
• Have basic LED lighting equipment
• Own a laptop with film editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro Creative Cloud, FinalCutPro, Avid, etc.)
• NYC local hire
• Have general availability on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings for team meetings
• Have a reel or sample of previous work
• Share Team MEP's vision
• Have a passion for your art and artistic vision
• Have a willingness to learn, work collaboratively, and take direction well.
• Proficient in DSLR camera equipment; able to operate like a cameraman/woman.
• Proficient in lighting and photography techniques and other technical knowledge of the digital filmmaking process
• Have solid attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Able to adapt and see things differently to discover the visual heart of the script/series using a variety of source material.
