Full Time Job
This position will manage and support the computer systems for EPIX and MGM, and will be located in EPIX offices located in New York City office. Responsibilities include planning, designing, implementing and maintaining the IBMS application including interfaces and other corporate systems. The successful candidate will work with users to determine business requirements and conduct systems analysis and prioritization to insure proper maintenance and performance of the systems they oversee.
EPIX, a subsidiary of MGM, is a premium pay television network, delivering the latest movie releases and biggest classic film franchises, plus original programming including series, documentaries, comedy and music specials – all available on TV, on demand, online and across devices.
Responsibilities
and Duties:
• Function as a key resource for business units, ensuring systems/applications are meeting business requirements and recommend solutions for new requirements
• Conduct analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems
• Work with the user community and IS team to define business requirements and address issues. Ensure appropriate documentation
• Review and manage the design specifications for custom applications and interfaces
• Manage unit testing, and user training in appropriate areas
• Enforce application change management policies and procedures
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for installed applications
• Assist in the required SOX quarterly documentation process
• Assist with completion of yearly department budgets and project budgets
• Lead post-implementation reviews of the application to ensure its effectiveness and relevance to the business
• Work closely with other areas of IT to ensure comprehensive solution delivery to the business
• Effectively manage system administration/configuration activities for business units in support of the portfolio of applications
• Understand customer requirements and their impact on the technical direction of a solution
• Set metrics to ensure end-user satisfaction with projects
• Work in multi-disciplinary teams on various projects
Requirements:
• Knowledge of premium service program scheduling and on-air promotions
• Knowledge of Media and Entertainment, specifically Broadcast Media workflows
• Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
• Knowledge of ITIL / Scrum methodologies
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Suite (ex. Word, PowerPoint, etc...)
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
Experience/Education Requirements:
• BS/BA degree in computer science or related field is desired
• 7 years of relevant experience
• Minimum of 5 years of management of IS teams in System analysis and implementations
• Strong analytical and systems design skills
