Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (''MGM'') is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to provide day-to-day administrative support to the Legal Services, Litigation department. The successful candidate must have experience handling a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks and be able to work well within an administrative team in an environment of constantly changing priorities.
Responsibilities
include:
• Analyze and process legal invoices, including monthly accruals reporting
• Assist with legal budgeting process and create spending reports as needed
• Assist paralegals with responses to discovery, subpoenas, and other legal process, including document searches, review, and productions
• Assist with Risk Management functions, including assistance with preparation of policy applications, processing of workers' compensation claims and file maintenance
• Handle daily administrative tasks including: answering phones and relaying messages, word processing, scheduling meetings, filing, photocopying, scanning, ordering office supplies, etc.
• Draft and edit business correspondence and memorandums
• Create and maintain files
• Schedule meetings; maintain calendars
• Coordinate travel arrangements; process expense reports
• Various ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements :
• BA/BS degree
• Prior invoice processing/payment experience
• Prior Studio or Law Firm experience desirable
• Strong computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, enterprise software and databases)
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Detail oriented; ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
• Self-starter with a driven, motivated work ethic
• Must demonstrate diplomacy, tact and discretion when working with colleagues, greeting guests, and responding to requests
• Must be able to perform increasingly challenging administrative and project tasks in a fast-paced organization under minimal supervision
