MGM is seeking an experienced attorney with 4-7 years of transactional and general corporate experience. The
candidate must be self-motivated and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment, with meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Key components of this job include drafting
and reviewing agreements and documents and managing transactions, and the ability to identify and advise senior management on associated legal considerations. The candidate will be expected to support various corporate level functions at the Company.
Responsibilities:
Provide legal support on selected transactions, strategic alliances and joint ventures, including but
not limited to the preparation and/or review of engagement letters, confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, partnership agreements, joint venture agreements and other ancillary deal related agreements.
Provide legal support on digital transactions, including licensing agreements, joint venture agreements, acquisitions and technology transactions.
Conduct and/or oversee due diligence process on transactions and communicate with other internal departments, functions and outside counsel.
Keep current on statutes, decisions and regulations that may impact the Company's business efforts.
Provide a broad range of support to various corporate functional departments throughout the Company, including
but not limited to, corporate strategy and business development, finance and tax.
Manage and budget outside counsel fees.
Requirements:
4-7 years of corporate legal experience, entertainment industry experience helpful.
Ability to deal effectively with a variety of legal matters at once.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proactive business oriented approach.
Member of CA Bar
J.D. degree from top-tier law school and experience with top-tier law firm.
